Onye and Faith met in 2013 at Howard Homecoming in Washington DC. Both Faith and Onye were in DC to enjoy the festivities of a Historically Black college celebration but did not expect to cross paths. Over that weekend Onye and Faith met through mutual friends and enjoyed each others company so they stayed in touch. At the time Faith lived in Los Angeles and Onye lived in Oakland so they took time to get to know one another and develop a friendship by talking over the phone and bonding over action movies, cheesy jokes, arts, and music. In 2017 Faith moved to the Bay Area for graduate school and that’s when things began to fall into place. Onye had an opportunity to see Faiths passions close and personal and Faith had a chance to experience Onye flourish in his world. The two spent the years getting to know one another’s families, traveling, celebrating accomplishments, and pursuing career endeavors while maintaining a solid foundation in God.
